Description: This is one cell. One of a million cultured in one well of one plate. The tightly regulated system in place to produce each cell is truly amazing. What’s more amazing is how little we actually know about how these cells are perfectly replicated, each with all the components to make it survive, grow, and reproduce. Each pixel of this image represents an unknown, a mysterious and magical door that will surely open to many new unfamiliar worlds.
