CRG/UPF Proteomics Unit
HEAD OF UNIT
Eduard Sabidó
OVERVIEW
The Proteomics Unit is a joint effort with the University Pompeu Fabra and it focuses on ultimate mass spectrometry technology for screening and targeted proteomics. Applications include identification of proteins and post-translational modifications, biomarker analysis, and quantitative proteomics using both stable-isotope-labeling and label-free quantitation approaches.
UNIQUE CAPABILITIES
The instruments available at the Proteomics Unit make it one of the best-equipped Units in Europe. They cover the most advanced techniques of the proteomics field, and are accessible to national and international scientists. The Proteomics Unit team has a broad experience in data acquisition and data analysis for proteomics applications and it has been involved in high-level training initiatives (e.g. EMBO Practical Course on Targeted Proteomics).
