Title: Clogmia blastoderm stages
Ref: YJ-0002
Author: eva jimenez guri
Size: 800 x 755
Description: Clogmia albipunctata developmental stages are still not described. Like Drosophila, a syncitial embryo develops to a blastoderm of nuclei which will eventually cellularise. Unlike Drosophila, however, the number and timing of blastodermal stages are not known. For the first time, we show the three blastoderm stages of this species, taken from three different embryos at different time points. This shows that the development of Drosophila is not representative of all other fly species.
